Road-legal remote technology for cars.
In our car sharing business we wanted to serve maximum customers with minimum resources, so we created remote control technology to deliver vehicles. ELMO Remote is approved by Estonia’s Transport Administration and is fully road legal. Now, our technology is available for licensing for an array of applications.

We have reached many important milestones:
2013
Elmo creates a keyless and contactless short term car rental.
2018
Remote-control technology research begins
2021
Remote test car hits the road
2022
Transport Administration approves technology for road use
In 2022 we will drive our car to the client remotely.

Road-legal RC Technology for Automobiles
In our car sharing business we wanted to serve maximum customers with minimum resources, so we created remote control technology to deliver vehicles. Elmo Remote is approved by Estonia’s Transport Administration and is fully road legal. Now, our technology is available for licensing for an array of applications.
Proven technology
Elmo technology currently serves a market of 16,000 customers, ensuring our 140 electric vehicles can be delivered directly to customers. This is not a test: Our road-legal product is Transport Administration-approved and works daily in real traffic serving real drivers!
Wider application
While Elmo was created for car sharing, it has application anywhere it’s an inefficient use of human time to move a vehicle from point A to point B — car rental fleets, mining operations, ports, and military. Its valet application also makes it a solution for urban overcrowding – park far away, and summon your car when you need it.
Our competitive advantage
Elmo is the only company with both a road-legal technology platform and a car sharing fleet in active use that proves the technology’s viability. And we’re a Nasdaq-listed company – not an undercapitalized startup that’s always on the brink of extinction.
Our story
Elmo was created in Estonia, the technology-savvy nation known for its inordinate number of billion-dollar tech companies. But despite our reputation, we’re not the largest nation around. Our population of 1.3 million (really!) has always meant that we have to do more with less. We knew from the beginning that to operate a car sharing company in a small nation, we’d have to make it uber-efficient. To succeed, we’d need to maximize minimal resources.
So we created Elmo Remote, a technology that enables us to remotely move cars to where they need to be, or delivering them directly to customers. With contactless ordering, an Elmo electric vehicle arrives at your door when you need it, enabling us to serve more customers with fewer resources than our competitors.
And Elmo Remote is part of a green vision much greater than just urban mobility. Elmo’s parent company owns the PAKRI Smart Industrial City, a green energy ecosystem that drives our vision of energy saving technologies that create a better living environment.
